About Author: Damian Armitage is the Head of Mathematics at University College School in London, UK. He graduated from the University of Cambridge with a Master of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering.
Damian spent some time working as a nuclear manufacturing engineer at Rolls Royce and as a strategy consultant in various European offices, before transitioning in to teaching Mathematics at a top London school.
Since, Damian has held many positions, including coordinating the teaching of mathematics for Key Stage 3 and A Level. He has led the mathematics enrichment program and developed a specialised course for students applying to Oxford and Cambridge for STEM subjects. Now, he is the Head of Mathematics and leads all aspects of the thriving mathematics department.
Damian is an A Level Mathematics specialist and has a deep understanding of the new A Level Mathematics course, which has been examined by all of the major examination boards since 2019.
